Accepted materials
This guide covers common household metals, electronics, plastics, and other recyclables we can review for pickup, along with simple preparation steps that help every collection go smoothly.
Metals are our primary stream. Keep materials loose or grouped by type where practical. If you are unsure about an item, include it in your request and we will help confirm it.
Steel and iron items such as shelving, tools, grills, fixtures, frames, and structural pieces. Magnetic — the most common household scrap type.
Copper wire, pipes, fittings, and coils. One of the highest-value non-ferrous metals. Keep insulated and bare wire separate if possible.
Cans, foil, window frames, door frames, cookware, and sheet aluminium. Lightweight and fully recyclable with no quality loss.
Taps, valves, fittings, door handles, and decorative hardware. Typically yellow-gold in colour and heavier than aluminium.
Sinks, cookware, cutlery, medical equipment, and industrial fittings. Non-magnetic and corrosion-resistant.
Old pipes, weights, roofing sheet, and battery plates. Handled with care — inform us in advance for large quantities.
Washers, dryers, refrigerators, ovens, microwaves, and other household appliances. Refrigerants must be degassed before collection.
Bikes, furniture frames, fittings, pipes, wire, and odd-sized metal pieces that don't fit a single category.
01
Back up and erase personal data from computers, phones, tablets, and storage devices before collection.
02
Remove food, liquids, fuel, and loose batteries. Disconnect appliances and keep cords with the related item when possible.
03
Place items where they can be safely reached and let us know about heavy, oversized, or stair-access items in your request.
04
Grouping metals, electronics, and plastics separately speeds up sorting and helps us give you a more accurate assessment.
For safety and compliance, please do not include these materials in a pickup request.
